The power to change your life has already been given to you, it was placed there by your Creator. Every person who wants to perform something great, must have a single driving force for their existence – a life purpose. A life purpose will drive thoughts that develop into desires which ultimately lead to actions.
The greatest dreamers in modern history who achieved much – Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, the Wright Brothers, all had an unshakable vision to do or build something great. With every one of them, their idea started out as a thought which propelled them to take action.
“My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body.”
Many things in life are not in your control but one thing that you do have control of are thoughts. God, in His sovereign power, is in control of the entire universe. However, He allows you to have a free will to control your thought life.
Who you think you are and what you think about has a direct relationship to the decisions you make now and for the future. Thoughts literally determine your whole destiny. Your thought life determines whether you live in heaven or go to hell as this is decided by whom you think Jesus is. So in essence, salvation comes through a single thought. Thoughts are powerful enough to change lives and circumstances for all of eternity.
The words you speak represent the fabric of your being all generated by your thought life. What you have accomplished thus far up to this moment of time, was all governed by your previous thoughts that led to certain actions. Thoughts directed your actions and the result of those thoughts now are in existence.
If God is calling you to do something great, you may need an attitude shift of how you see yourself. This begins with your thought life and how you view yourself. This is true no matter what you plan to do with your life, no matter how big or small your goal is. God wants you to view yourself the way He sees you, mainly as an overcomer, a conqueror, a saint called according to His purposes.
Master what you think and say on a daily basis and make sure it lines up with the word of God. When you consciously or unconsciously think on something, you tend to get what you think about.
When your life purpose is designed to use your gifts on a daily basis, your life will change dramatically. Become aware of the reason for your existence and then arrange your life around this central purpose. And when you do, you will be living with joy and passion doing what you love because it is what God made you for. Figure out what your gifts are and then plan how you will use those gifts. God will then arrange the opportunities to best utilize them.
